Basalt Vineyard is situated along the Great Ocean Road, 9kms east of the historic village of Port Fairy in south west Victoria.

"At Killarney near Port Fairy, Shane & Ali Clancey (brother Andrew runs Portofino restaurant in town) have planted what could well become known as the Great Ocean Road's most visible (if not wind swept) vineyard.

Two and a half acres of Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot and one of my favourite red varieties, the very trendy Spanish grape, Tempranillo, to be labeled under the Basalt label."
